Diaper Covers work in tandem with Prefolds.
We recommend starting with 6 covers for a Newborn/Infant and 5 covers for a 12+ month old.
For those babies under 7 pounds, we will loan you 6 covers with our Twee service.
Diaper Covers have a 14 day refund policy if unopened / unused.
What are the difference between these four brands and styles of covers?
Bummis (made in Canada)
Super Brites: have a PUL exterior. This makes wiping and cleaning really easy. They’re super trim-fitting. The only drawback is that their velcro closures can rub on mommy’s skin when breastfeeding. Expect to go through 2 to 3 sizes through potty-training
Super Whisper Wrap: also have a PUL exterior. These fit a bit “poofier” than super brites (but you won’t size out of them quite as quickly) They have the same velcro as the Super Brites. Expect to go through 2 to 3 sizes through potty-training
Imse Vimse (made in Sweden)
Soft Covers: PUL exterior. Super soft velcro closures - so easy on mommy’s skin. Super trim fitting, but you can need as many as 3 to 4 sizes through potty-training.
Organic Soft Covers: COTTON exterior (layered over PUL). This makes them really soft but harder to clean. Super soft velcro closures. Even more trim fitting than Soft Covers. But need 3 to 4 sizes through potty training.
Thirsties (made in the USA)
Duo wraps: PUL exterior. Durable snap closures provide a perfect and secure fit at every diaper change. They incorporate a snap size-adjustment system. Which causes the fit to vary depending on baby's weight/size. You can count on only needing 2 sizes through potty training.
Wool (made in the USA or upcycled from cashmere sweaters!)
Wool Covers come in different fabric weights so that you can choose from lighter daytime options to heavy-duty night time options. Wool absorbs up to 35% of its weight in water, contains a natural lanolin water barrier and is naturally breathable - which makes it great in the heat of Summer as well as in the cool of Winter. Wool Covers require special washing and occasional Lanolin treatment. (see step by step care instructions here).
